"Jonathan Rees, a public figure who has (very unsuccessfully) run for political office in DC, decided to use one of my photographs without permission .... There certainly wasn’t any excuse in this case, as I wrote Rees twice with requests explaining that he was illegally using an image I created and held exclusive rights to and asking that he comply with the law and please pull the image from his site. He just chose to just ignore the notes. (Perhaps that shouldn’t be surprising, as his blog is littered with easily recognized commercial images not in the public domain.)"
